Grant requests are not currently being accepted.
Our grant application will be available again in September 2026.
Our grants are open to individuals and organizations who want to turn strong ideas into action, emphasizing community diversity, equity, and social justice.

Basic Eligibility Requirements:

Service Area: Bell County, Texas
-
Direct impact on traditionally disenfranchised communities or populations
-
Awareness of and efforts toward diverse leadership and staffing
-
A strong plan, including what progress and preparation has been done, next steps, and a detailed budget
-
Having or working toward 501(c)3 status NOT required, although preferred ​​​

2025-2026 Grant Cycle Timeline
Sep 1
Application window opens.
Sep 15
Preliminary application deadline (5PM Central Time). Applications submitted by this deadline will receive feedback from our Executive Director, and have up to 5 days to re-submit an updated application.
Sep 30
Final deadline (5PM Central Time). No applications will be accepted after this time.
Oct to Nov
Board review process - applications will be scored by the Rock Rose Foundation (RRF) Board of Directors based on a rubric.
Oct 3
Applicants will be notified if they are ineligible for funding due to incomplete applications.
Nov 4
Applicants will be notified if they fail to meet eligibility criteria.
Dec to Feb
Community Advisory Committee (CAC) review process. The CAC will select grant recipients based on score, local need, and local knowledge.
Jan 10 & 24
Presentation meetings - applicants will have the opportunity to meet the CAC, present their application, and answer the CAC's questions. Applicants will be contacted in December 2025 with their assigned date.
Feb
CAC selection process. The CAC will vote and draft their recommendations for the RRF Board of Directors.
Mar
Board approval - formal approval of CAC's funding recommendations. Acceptance and rejection letters will be sent out by mid-March.
Apr 4
Applicant Celebration - all applicants, whether they receive grants or not, are invited for fellowship and networking. Recipients will be acknowledged and grant checks disbursed at this event.
Apr 30, 2027
Post funding - a final report and occasional brief updates will be required outlining how grant money was used, what progress was made toward the initiative's goals, and how the initiative impacted the community and/or individuals.
